Opening Remarks

Zhang XiangZHANG XIANGPresident of HKU

Opening remarks were delivered by HKU President Zhang Xiang on robotics, embodied intelligence and industry-academia-research collaboration. As head of a leading Asian research university, he emphasized that universities and enterprises need long-term innovation ecosystem building, not one-off projects.

The best university-enterprise cooperation is not a single project, but jointly building an innovation ecosystem that continuously solves industry pain points.

0-to-1 relies on original research; 1-to-100 relies on industrial collaboration. The two must connect.

This echoes the Alliance's two core mandates — "Technology & Talent" and "Industry Research" — requiring universities' sustained basic research and industry's real-scenario engineering validation. One of the Alliance's roles is to stably connect the two.

Keynote Speeches

Xian YueXIAN YUE
AIROBO Founder · Alliance Initiator and Secretary-General

"AIROBO Robot Operations Platform and Application Scenario Entry"

Share AIROBO's exploration and practice in building a unified robot operations platform and in real application scenarios such as property, communities, and cities.

Once robots truly scale, competition will be not just over the device entry point, but over the city-level physical operations entry point.

As robots move from the manufacturing era to the operations era, AIROBO aims to become the leading platform for robot operations.

Zhou YongZHOU YONG
LINKERBOT Founder & CTO

The Craftsman's Hands Driven by LINKERBOT

Focus on dexterous hand technology routes and robots' fine-grained manipulation capabilities, and explore the scarcity of embodied intelligence in hand-interaction data.

The ultimate goal of a dexterous hand is not merely a more flexible hand, but a "craftsman's hand" capable of self-learning and self-evolution.

What is truly scarce in embodied intelligence is not more "motion videos", but data from high-precision interaction between hands and the real physical world.

Zhang WeiZHANG WEI
Founder of LIMX Dynamics

"Bringing AGI to the Physical World — The Leap of Humanoid Robots from 'Can Move' to 'Can Work'"

Starting from the capability leap in embodied intelligence and humanoid robots, explore the technological paths for robots to truly enter the real world.

We are witnessing the leap of humanoid robots from being able to move to being truly useful.

The hardware body is of course the most important foundation, but it is not the bottleneck; what is missing is a humanoid brain system.

Embodied intelligence will see bubbles, but it will also nurture great companies and take on a thriving, diverse landscape.

Wang KunWANG KUN
DAX ROBOTICS Founder & CEO

DaxAI Robotics Robot Products and Technical Practices

Centered on DaxAI Robotics' robot products and technical practices, discussing reliability and delivery thresholds.

A 90% success rate is a disaster for customers; 99% reliability is the basic threshold for delivered results.

Robots' physical capabilities have far surpassed human needs, but the real revolution lies in productivity — whether, like sports, they can transcend human cognition and imagination.

Jin LiangJIN LIANG
GENISOM AI Co-founder & Co-President

"GENISOM AI: Embodiment Innovation and Application Practices"

Share innovations in robot hardware and industrial application practices, as well as the significance of lowering application barriers for scaled deployment.

The true value of embodied intelligence lies not in proving technology in the lab, but in creating long-term commercial value in real-world scenarios.

Keep the complexity to ourselves and simplicity for our partners; only by lowering application barriers can robots truly enter every industry.

06 / ROUNDTABLE

Frontier Trends & Commercialization in Robotics

The roundtable focused on commercialization paths from technology validation to large-scale deployment, drawing on practices in humanoid robots, core components, airport service robots, cleaning robots and autonomous urban freight.

Liu ZhiqiangHuaxia Robotics CEO

Large models define the upper bound of a robot's capabilities, while real-world scenarios determine whether it can become a productive force.

Pi XindongYongli Technology Chairman

Selling one robot is not the end; commercialization means being able to form a replicable returns model.

Xue YapengJiushi Intelligence Vice President

True commercialization only begins after product delivery. Robots should prioritize work that people are unwilling to do, that is repetitive, that takes place in harsh environments, and that faces labor shortages.

Yao DaweiHuayan Technology Business Director

Commercialization is not about optimal performance at a single point, but about cost, reliability, and delivery efficiency all holding true at once.

Jin YangYihang Technology Founder

Scenarios are not the last mile of a product, but the first mile in which robots are redefined.

07 / GLOBAL UNICORN SUMMIT

Concurrent Summit

This forum was a concurrent event of the first Global Unicorn Summit, held at the HKCEC and focusing on AI, robotics, smart vehicles and fintech, listed by InvestHK as a key I&T event.

At the Global Unicorn Summit opening, HKSAR Chief Executive John Lee attended and delivered remarks on Hong Kong's role connecting the mainland and global innovation. AIROBO founder Xian Yue attended as a special VIP and gave an interview.

For mainland startups and unicorns, Hong Kong is the strongest springboard into international markets; for overseas tech leaders, it is the premier hub for exploring the mainland market.

On the path of innovation, Hong Kong offers both a testing ground for breakthroughs and an accelerator for commercialization and global expansion.

We invite global scientists to bring breakthroughs to Hong Kong, and welcome leading enterprises and investors to grow here.

John Lee · HKSAR Chief Executive (Global Unicorn Summit opening remarks)

From global innovation converging in Hong Kong to the official launch of the CDRA, this summit connected government, universities, robotics companies, listed companies, investors and real scenarios in one city.
